Doina likes to work in acrylics and mixed media, while exploring other mediums, such as watercolor, pastel, fusain.

Her style has evolved from figurative to abstract over the years, as the abstract allows to better express her feelings and emotions. Colors, texture, and collage are applied in multiple layers, using different techniques, such as palette knife, brush, sponge, card, or even her fingers.

Doina hopes that she can transmit the same emotion and joy that she feels while she paints, using colors, lines, shapes, marks, and texture, as part of her visual vocabulary
